The very first Miss Tombigbee Pageant was held in February 2001. Ashley Deese of Tuscaloosa, Alabama was crowned the first Miss Tombigbee 2001. Ashley was a student at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa and presented a vocal presentation as her talent performance.
